LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS

Just imagine this world without light: no sun, moon, stars or any lamps, candles or torchlight. We know that we cannot do anything that is productive, good or right when it is dark, nor do we like to live in the darkness. We can see the physical darkness with our human eyes and there is a spiritual darkness too. Lighting a lamp or candle will get rid of the darkness. But have you ever thought how to get rid of the spiritual darkness? The answer for this is JESUS.

Around 4 B.C there lived a man named JESUS:

·       He was fully God and fully man.

·       He was with God from the beginning (before the creation/foundation of the world).

·       All things were made through him.

·       He was conceived by the Holy Spirit (Spirit of God) and born of a virgin.

·       He is the one and only begotten SON OF GOD.

He lived on this earth for about 33 and a half years. When He walked on this earth, He spoke these words, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8:12.” This verse clearly says that when we follow JESUS, we will not walk in darkness, that is the spiritual darkness.

      So, all you have to do is to ask Jesus to come into your life and set you free from darkness and shine His Light in your life. The bible says in John 1:9, Jesus is the true light who gives light to every man”. All you have to do is just ask Jesus to enlighten your inner man. Also 1 John 1:5 says “God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all” and John 1:5 says “ The light(Jesus) shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.  When you let the Light (Jesus) to come into your life, the darkness has to flee from you. Just imagine you are in a dark room and when you switch on the light will the room still be in dark? No, in the same way when Jesus comes into your life the darkness will flee from your life.

              Romans 13:12-14 says “Let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.” As the word of God says here let us behave decently and walk as the children of light. If you feel hard to over come the desires of the flesh, ask Jesus for the strength, and He will definitely help you.

              John 3:18 says “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

Chose to live in the light and hate darkness. Chose Jesus in your life and you can see your life being transformed
